Abstract

In recent years women have controlled an ever-increasing slice of national
income, therefore highlighting the importance of financial institutions, and
regulators having better data on gender difference in investment risk. Literature
highlights that generally women are more risk averse than males, but the way in
which it impacts financial decision-making between genders is still very much of
significance now. The aim of the research project was to make recommendations
based on how gender impacts financial decision-making. This study reveals an
insight into the impact gender has on financial decision-making, using a mixed
methods approach for the collection of primary data.
