Abstract
Dances On Street Corners is a solo, site-responsive choreography that investigates notions of wildness in choreographic compositional practices for non-theatre settings. Staged as a journey that travels, with audiences, through urban landscapes, the performance explores how bodily interactions with site and audiences, challenge and transform the ‘existing behavioural norms’ (Hunter 2015:461) of space through behaviour informed by the aesthetics of performance.
D.S.C was developed in residence at ONCA gallery Brighton and has been performed in; Brighton, London, Lewes, Bath, Chichester, and in 2019 is being performed in Stavanger, Norway.
