Abstract
we are all made of stars was practice research project into Mixed Reality work exploring techniques for the development of 360° video and AV installation. The project expands upon prior research by Marisa Zanotti into embodied perception in screendance (2011-2017) and marks the beginning of a collaboration with composer Matthew Whiteside. The research culminated in a public installation across two rooms over two days comprising an AV installation and a 360° film. The work was tested on 100 participants over these two days, there was a public presentation about the research with a discussion and training sessions for artists in Brighton and Edinburgh. Zanotti led on the moving image content of both projections and the 360° film and Whiteside on the sound element of the AV installation. The work was supported in postproduction by Arteus and commissioned by Magnetic North. A project archive was created.
