Abstract
This chapter explores the impact of embedding work based learning opportunities into the Level 6 undergraduate dance curriculum. It will present an experiential learning model, referencing Kolb, which emphasises the practice-led approach to the student experience that encourages them to become reflective practitioners. Using a module case study and drawing from past dance alumni, the pedagogic approaches and outcomes to WBL through gaining real work experiences with professional choreographers, performing in theatres and teaching within educational settings is analysed.
