Abstract

This small-scale report therefore seeks to investigate the attitudes of the children in Key Stage 2 and to determine at what stage attitudes to reading change for those boys who are identified as below their reading age. Additionally this study aims to provide recommendations for supporting and promoting reading for low-ability boys in Key Stage 2.
