Publication Type: Articles
Additional Information: These poems belong to a collection of four poems that are all related to the theme of parenthood, and form part of an ongoing poetry collection in which this theme is interrogated in greater detail. Rather than being a personal narrative, the collection seeks to represent a variety of viewpoints, hence the inclusion of autobiographical pieces (‘First Contact’ and ‘Premature’) alongside poems relating to wider political concerns (The Refugee’s Children’) and myth (‘Madonna and Child’). Three Poems in Irish Pages Vol.6 No.1 pp. 92-96 (2011) and one poem 'Madonna and Child' in the London Magazine http://eprints.chi.ac.uk/1052/, published online 26/11/13 prior to print publication in December 2013.
