Abstract

A study commissioned by The Mayor, was conducted in Market Town Arundel, to
examine resident attitudes towards tourism and future developments for support
of a revitalized town centre which is benefited by residents. Online surveys
entailing the research was publicized on postcards, which were hand delivered to
all 1,635 residential households in town, in which 68 responded. Key findings
showed residents overall had a positive attitude towards tourism, and this was
because of the perceived benefits of job provision for residents who worked in
town.
