Abstract

This management project is based on the technological advances in the recent years around
cloud based software, there has been a major boom in the evolution of cloud based
accounting software such as Xero, replacing the traditional accounting methods used, to
allow more integration within the business environment, as well as helping to computerise
labour intensive processes within an organisation to reduce costs and improve efficiency
within businesses. HMRC have now taken this on board and noticed a correlation between
digitalising accounts submissions and closing tax gaps and so have introduced a new Making
Tax Digital (MTD) system, which has given rise to the content of this management project.
