Abstract

This project focused on the design and development of a Document Management
System for Tiger Communications PLC. The Document Management System is used
to centralise, manage and track documents throughout the company. The aim of the
project was to improve productivity and efficiency by developing a prototype
Document Management System. This was achieved by researching existing
Document Management best practices and comparing them against Tiger’s existing
system. Recommendations were created based on these findings both for the
system and the business, a prototype was also produced. The recommended
solution was developed within SharePoint and is ready to be implemented if Tiger
Communications agreed with the solution provided.
